Maradana Memory walk

Our memory walks have commenced again, kicking off to an insightful start to 2022!

Taking place on the 9th of January, 2022 at 9 am (English) and the 23rd of January, 2022 at 4 pm (Sinhala), this Diversity Walk will take place in the 1st Division of Maradana and will attempt to explore the last two decades of the nineteenth century, 1880-1900 which mark the first phase of modernization of Colombo.
Memory walks organised by HistoricalDialogue.lk aim to engage citizens to start a dialogue, share memories and raise consciousness about the history and development of neighbourhoods.

The walk will be guided by Prof. Asoka Mendis De Zoysa (English medium) and by Ganga Rajinee Dissanayaka (Sinhala medium).
